Day 22/365 - 26/03/12.
I booked out the studio on monday for the whole day, and Myself and Ebony decided that we would use it to do our final images for our Voice projects.
Ebony needed someones help, who she could trust, to help her with her images. Her images are based on attachment to people within intimate relationships and each piece of the clothing or accessories relates to one of those people. And the clothes build up as it goes along, each single image representing the adding of that other person making her who she is. She won’t mind me saying it was kinda my idea ;) haha. Pretty awesome idea though, personal to Ebony, wouldn’t work for me. Dead Jealous.
But basically she needed help photographing her and helping her add clothes so she could maintain the same frame and try not to move as much as possible. And I think the images turned out amazing :) Ebony did so well with maintaining her facial expression and body position. I wish this project was mine now haha.

Day 18/365.
I gave my Dad a print that I had done at uni last year when doing studio work. Myself, Ebony, Lauren and Mel had to team up and re-create an original photograph or painting of a still life. We chose a decaying apple.
We had to shoot the apple using a 5x4 camera, which if you’re not a photographer or are unsure, is one of those old fashioned cameras you see in films with the bellows and usually a curtain to hide your head under (in simple terms). They’re so ridiculously complicated I can’t even tell you.
Took 5 minutes for the image to take and we had to do it 4 times. I then printed the image onto 16x20 fibre paper for us all, and then did two extra, one for my Dad and the other for my Nan.
I love how it turned out, so proud. But I couldn’t tell you how I did it… cause I can’t remember. Ha!

My photography work is going to be in an Exhibition!!

After showing my montage work in a deadline crit today at uni, my tutor was that impressed with my work that he is going to show my A0 mural print in a exhibition after christmas along with other tutors/lecturers own pieces and a few other students. He said my work was stunning and could be hanging in an gallery and it would not look out of place.

I’m not going to lie, I am so proud of myself and the effort that went into all the hard work that I did for it.

This isn’t any gloating on my part, I just never get chance to say how I feel about my own work cause I feel every one thinks I’m into myself. But when he complimented me in front of my group I was shaking. Finally all my hard work pays off.

I really want some new faces/models to take photos of that aren’t the same all the time.

Currently getting Aj to help me edit some of my work for a tutorial/crit on tuesday. What does everyone think??

How not to be a photographer... basic camera tech but proves that it is the person & their creative skill & not the equipment that makes you a real photographer. Horrible photographs.

Day 1: How you’re different on Tumblr to how you are in real life? (challenge 2)

Erm, I wouldn’t say I am much different?

Although I suppose no one would reveal this much information about themselves straight off to strangers. But then again, isn’t that the same for everyone on Tumblr? that’s the point in a blog right?

Well for me this Tumblr is for my Photography mostly, and for my personal outbursts. My other tumblr however… (cutewhenyouscream.tumblr.com) is for everything i like and love on tumblr, so its purely a community support blog, to be inspired and to share inspiration. In that respect I love looking at many different things, and have many likes and loves, so my other tumblr is just about sharing those things.
